Organizational Profiles

Organizational Profiles help us better understand and stay connected to the organizations serving West Marin.
Completion of an Organizational Profile is required to apply for funding from the Fund.

By completing a profile, your organization remains visible to the Fund and other partners investing in West Marin, making it easier to identify potential funding, partnership, and capacity-building opportunities as they arise.

Profiles streamline the grant application process by collecting key organizational information once every two years, rather than with each grant application. In addition, they replace our annual nonprofit survey, reducing duplicate reporting while helping us better understand the nonprofit sector and strengthen support for our community.

Even if you are not currently applying for funding, maintaining an up-to-date profile helps us:

  • Identify funding opportunities that may align with your work
  • Better understand and represent the nonprofit landscape in West Marin
  • Advocate for support from public and philanthropic partners

*Please note that all individual organizational information submitted will remain confidential. Aggregate data may be used to inform broader efforts to strengthen the nonprofit sector and elevate community needs.

Before You Begin

If your organization is new to applying for a West Marin Fund grant, we encourage you to review the criteria for successful proposals for each open funding opportunity before completing an Organizational Profile. This can help you determine whether West Marin Fund is a good fit for your organization.

Please also consider your organization’s geographic service area. Does your organization specifically serve West Marin, or Marin County as a whole? Because West Marin is geographically distant from Central Marin, organizations serving “all of Marin” may not always reach West Marin communities in practice.
